Last week, when we relaunched gousabid.com, we told you about our watch party finding tool and asked you to find or host a party in your town. As we expected, the great socccer community in the United States delivered, and you created over 500 events in less than a week.

Your match watching parties aren't the only evidence of soccer's popularity in the United States. Saturday's US-England match had over four million more viewers than game four of the NBA finals on Sunday night.

The match between the Stars and Stripes and Three Lions was the most watched opening-round World Cup game in US history. It was also the most watched soccer game in the America since the US Men's National Team played Brazil in the Round of Sixteen during the 1994 World Cup in the US.
