The Leaderboard
Last Friday, we hit half a million supporters — a goal we asked you to help us hit by the end of the World Cup. We gave you thirty-one days, and it only took you eight. Now, as our supporter count continues to rise, there is no way to ignore the United States standing as one shouting from the rooftops: "THE GAME IS IN US!!!"
It's time to check in and see how the bid cities are doing with a new edition of the bid-city leaderboard.
Indianapolis is the winner of the week, moving up three spots into ninth and picking up over 4,000 new supporters in just the last seven days.
Miami also made significant progress adding just short of 4k new supporters of their own — to bring them within only fifty signatures of second-place Seattle. Houston maintained its hold on the number one spot, which it has had since May 20.
But, what's most impressive is that every bid-city — all eighteen — made significant progress this past week. Remember, this friendly competition between cities in the United States won't matter if we can't, as a nation, show the world how much we love soccer.
As the US prepares to play Algeria and determine its fate, tell all of your friends to back the US Bid for the World Cup and your favorite bid-city.
