World Cup Tickets

American soccer players are dominating the international pitch (see: here and here), while at the same time US fans are currently dominating ticket sales for the 2010 FIFA™ World Cup in South Africa.

The US has purchased the most tickets through the third phase of the public online ticket sales, outside of the host country. The United States has purchased more then 119,000 tickets. The UK holds second place with 70,002, Germany third with 34,804, and Australia has fourth rank with 29,680.

The fourth sales phase started on February 9 and runs until April 7. You can purchase tickets online here.

The fifth and final phase takes place from April 15 to July 11.

US fans are leading the way to South Africa - the MNT will have plenty of supporters to cheer them on!
